Job Title: Development Coordinator

Position Summary:
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Development Coordinator to support our team through all phases of commercial real estate development—from site feasibility, design and permitting, to construction completion and closeout.
If you’re a self-starter who thrives on organization, enjoys diving into details, and is motivated by understanding the big picture and figuring out the steps to get there, you will find this role both rewarding and full of learning. You’ll play a key role in supporting and coordinating project components to keep initiatives moving forward while also engaging in research and analysis—reviewing zoning code and ordinances to understand how they impact our plans and project goals.
You’ll be counted on to maintain momentum with multiple objectives and challenged to think critically, take initiative, and contribute to solving problems. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and assist with site due diligence, zoning and code research
- Prepare Site Investigation and Due Diligence Reports
- Prepare, develop, and update various project-related tracking spreadsheets
- Create and maintain project tracking tools for coordinating permit submissions and deliverables as well as tracking schedules and key project milestones
- Prepare agendas and participate in project meetings with consultants (engineers, architects, general contractors) to support coordination and document action items and next steps
- Organize and maintain project files and vendor contracts
- Assist in preparation of RFPs and Invitation to Bid packages
- Assist in utility coordination routing, installation requirements, and relocations
- Assist in coordination of signage design and installation
- Assist in review of construction drawings, change orders, RFI’s, CMT Reports, and pay applications
- Assist in conducting site visits to track progress and document key milestones
- Assist in project closeout including tracking completion of punch lists, as-built documentation, and collecting final documentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree – Construction Management or Business fields preferred
- Highly organized with strong follow-through, able to manage multiple moving parts, track deadlines, and ensure no detail slips through the cracks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and apply it to real-world situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues, consultants, and external stakeholders
- Comfortable navigating multifaceted tasks, breaking them down into actionable steps, and following through with initiative and accountability
- Comfortable handling multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish trust and build lasting relationships across internal and external stakeholders
- A practical, grounded mindset—focused on execution over theory
- Experience with GIS and Bluebeam is preferred
- Flexibility to travel within the Southeastern US as needed to support project coordination and site visits
